Abstract
Functional mathematical literacy is a person’s ability to utilize and incorporate mathematical concepts into real life situations. Functional mathematical literacy is different from mathematical ability since mathematical ability is somewhat more scholastic and the incorporation of real life scenarios is not required. Functional mathematical literacy could be determined by different factors. This study intends not only to identify the determinants of functional mathematical literacy of the students of Dasmariñas National High School – Main, but also to determine its fictional mathematical literacy level. Based on the gathered data, the students have “Advanced Functional Mathematical Literacy” and the students’ functional mathematical literacy could be determined by their age, year level, average monthly income, and father’s educational attainment.
