Abstract

Tagaytay International Convention Center and El Cielito’s Character Hotel is located at Akles Street, Kaybagal North, General Emilio Aguinaldo Highway, Tagaytay City. It provides facilities and services to tourists, school and organizations for their seminars, conferences, weddings and other special activities and events. To present day, all reservations, billing and processing of payments of Character Hotel are handled manually. So the main goal of the proponents is to improve Character Hotel’s business functions by using of computerized information systems. In order to improve the Character Hotel’s competitiveness, one of the greatest strategies is to focus on technology innovation. Character Hotel uses manual procedures when making reservations and transactions which may cause errors and problems. Through the development of an Online Billing and Reservation System, the researchers seek to promote the hotel for more efficient accommodation and reservation. In developing the system for the Character Hotel, the researchers use V-model as one of the methods in the study and PHP in coding. The proponents also aim to support Character Hotel in expanding their online popularity to capture more customers. The proponents also recommend continuing the system enhancement of software security, maintenance and update of the system on a regular basis and accomplishing the systems limitations.
