ABSTRACT Name of Institution: De La Salle University – Dasmariñas Address: Dasmariñas, Cavite Title: “Sexual Behavior of Selected Students of DLSU-D†Author/ Proponent: Jessamine M. Ilagan Funding Source: Parents Cost: P 8,000.00 Date Started: June 2006 Date Completed: March 2007 Objectives of the Study: A. To determine the sexual behavior of College of Liberal Arts of De La Salle University – Dasmariñas students and their awareness of the possible outcome of such behavior. B. To determine the sexual behavior of C.L.A. students and their awareness of the possible outcome of such behavior. It answers the following: 1. Demographic profile of the research respondents: a. Course/Major b. Religion c. Gender d. Age 2. What are the possible outcomes of being sexually active? 3. What are the sexual behaviors of the respondents? SCOPE AND COVERAGE This research was conducted to determine the Sexual Behavior of the students under College of Liberal Arts of De La Salle University – Dasmariñas. This study uses a number of respondents coming from the same University and doesl not represent the whole population of the University and its sexes. Specifically 16-24 year old students currently enrolled at De La Salle University- Dasmariñas and under the program of College of Liberal Arts are the participants of the study. METHODOLOGY This study used a descriptive method of research survey method in particular. This type of research is utilized to obtain meaningful information about the “Sexual Behavior of selected adolescents of De La Salle University Dasmariñas.†This method involved collection of data through survey questionnaires in order to find out the Sexual Behavior of selected adolescents of College of Liberal Arts in De La Salle University Dasmariñas. CONCLUSION 1. Sexuality and age should not be the only basis of determining how intimate the individual may be. It does not necessarily mean an older individual is more intimate than the younger ones. 2. Males engage in intimate acts more than the females 3. The respondents are aware of the possible outcomes of such behavior that they manifest but know what to do and that is not engaging in sexual relations. 4. Females may use coitus but they engage in different act more often than not. RECOMMENDATION 1. It is suggested that the respondent’s think before they doing sexual acts. 2. For the School, should conduct a seminar or design a program that includes a lesson on sexuality in order that the students will be properly informed of what this behavior may bring into a young individuals life. 3. For the Future researchers, should conduct further studies about adolescent’s sexual behavior and to gather more information on the possible acts and situations adolescents may encounter.
