Abstract

This study examined the effect of Nootropic and verbal placebo s on cognitive ability of grade four students in both public and private schools . The researchers gathered 193 respondents and were asked to perform a mental by memorizing five pictures and five words within two minutes. The said mental exercise was accompanied with two treatments: verbal placebo and the nootropic placebo , to measure and to know its effects towards memory recall. The statistical analysis was done by using SPSS (version 2 . 1) to achieve a more precise result findings . Researchers predicted that the two placebos would increase their performance in memory recall. The two placebos had a significant effect on the memory recall performance of the students from both publ ic and private schools . The Nootropic Placebo treatment made a huge significant difference compared to the verbal treatment. Different researches suggested that the participants’ were more lik ely increase d their performance when they actually see the potential aid that could enhance their capabilities.
