To find out how second-career changes affect the level of life satisfaction of the selected respondents. B. Specific This paper specifically aimed to answer the following questions: 1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of the following: 1.1 Age 1.2 Sex 1.3 Civil status 1.4 Number of Children 1.5 Educational Attainment 2. What kind of career transitions did the Filipino midlifers experience in terms of nature of new job, length of stay in the previous and new job and job position? 3. What is the level of life satisfaction of the Filipino midlifers? 4. What is the impact of the career transitions to the life satisfaction of the selected Filipino midlifers? De La Salle University – Dasmariñas Research Methodology The study was about finding out the impact of the career transitions to the life satisfaction of the selected Filipino midlifers. The researchers used the descriptive interview because it aided them to explain further the life satisfaction of Filipino Midlifers in changing their careers. Moreover, it dealt with the “here and now” life situation of the respondents. The respondents were working in the industry ages ranging from 35-45, and worked in Metro Manila area. From this, the researchers separated the respondents from the ones who experience midlife crisis and the ones who do not through pre-screening by giving them a Midlife Crisis Test. Only 30 of the respondents, 15 males and 15 females. Conclusion Based on the findings of the study, the following conclusions are drawn: There was an impact on the level of life satisfaction among the selected Filipino midlifers’ decision on second career transitions. Based on the data gathered from the questionnaire and in-depth interview, the respondents supported that their career transitions mainly contributed to their satisfaction in their life presently. Moreover, the midlife crisis phenomenon had an impact on their decision on career change as shown in the results of their tests as also supported by their in-depth interview.
