Abstract

The study is focused on the determination of physico-chemical properties of the soil in selected sites in the area of study and to know the differences in the soil composition. This study was limited in determining the soil texture, available phosphorus, available potassium and organic matter. Data were gathered on the first quarter of 1997. The analysis followed after the soil had been air-dried. The study revealed that the soil texture in Barangay Lucsuhin, Silang was silt loam. The soil test revealed that the best soil status in terms of availability of major nutrients is uncultivated land, coffee-planted, grassland (formerly planted with pineapple plants) and pineapple-planted land.
