Abstract
The study proposed to develop a Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) on English that will help to catch the interest of preschoolers using graphics, sounds, and animations. Basic topics discussed on the system are: the functions and parts of the body, the members of the family, the name of things and animals, the things used in school, the vowel and consonant family, the correct usage of A and An, One or More than one, the helpers in our community and the introductory part for the action words. The researchers made use of the Classic Life Cycle or Waterfall Model in developing the system. Research and interview method was also employed. As a conclusion, a CAI in English for Preschoolers grant the needs of every school when it comes to teaching simple and basic English. It serves as a foundation of the skills and knowledge of the students as they go to another step in their school years. In addition, the software could store student's performance as well as the personal information. The authors recommend to add more animation and to randomize all the quizzes to improve the system.
