Abstract
Birds appear to be good indicators of overall biodiversity. The identification and conservation of centers of bird endemism represent a cost-effective and practical way of conserving the country's other endemic flora and fauna. This study focused on the identification and classification of bird species diversity found in the peak of Mt. Palay-palay. There were ten sampling site, each with a length of 250m. Based on the survey conducted, Mt. Palay-palay/ Mataas na Gulod is rich in terms of its avian fauna and is capable of supporting an immense variety of wildlife. The environment is normal and healthy since diverse species of birds thrive.
