Abstract

Shells are widely collected because of their beauty, attractiveness and rarity. Shells collection was done during low tide in Ternate, Cavite. The particular site is (5) meters away from the shore. Thirty quadrants measuring 1 X 1 meters each were prepared for the actual collection of shells. There were 53 different species collected and identified using the classification of Rolandpo Garcia (1977) and F. S. Springsteen (1985) belonging to 1 subclass, 3 orders, super families and families and genera. Based on the results obtained, the most represented genera were cypraea, oliva, conus, and strombus.
