Abstract

The main concern of the study is to determine the species in the Molave community and which of them is the most abundant. The first part of the study made use of the quadrant method. With the use of field-tape, diameter at-breast height, markable height and canopy height, each species were measured. The second part of the study concentrated on the identification, preparation of herbarium. After extensive analysis of the study, the researchers derived at the conclusions that Mt. Palay-palay is considered a Molave forest due to the dominance of Vitex parviflora (Jusseiu) and the forest is considered a secondary growth forest.
