Abstract

There were 6 different sea urchin species that were collected from Patungan Beach, Maragondon Cavite. The most abundant was Diadema setosum while the smallest in number was Astroptyga radiata. The 4 other species collected were Echinothrix calamaris, Echinothrix diadema, Echinometra oblonga and Tripnesutes gratilla. The result showed that the seawaters have a very weak positive correlation with salinity and pH, a high positive correlation with depth, transparency, and temperature. It has no correlation with nitrogen and a moderate negative correlation with dissolved oxygen and total dissolved solids.
