Abstract

To identify the challenges that are facing the fathers of Aniban Bacoor Cavite and what changes will happen in their parenting style 'towards the adolescent child. The fathers of Aniban Bacoor Cavite are using the traditional way of parenting a child. Majority of the respondents agreed that the school setting is the most difficult challege that they are facing with regard to the challenges they face towards their parenting style for their adolescent child. Majority do not want to change their parenting style mainly because they believe that whatever kind of style they are using, it has a direct effect on their adolescent child and would be beneficial to their future. Though some of these fathers want to change their parenting style, they want to listen more to the ideas of their children and try to teach them how to handle the decision making in the process in their adolescent stage.
