Abstract

To impart the different personality and intellectual functioning of institutionalized alcoholics represented in a profile and the program interventions for recovery. To help eliminate prejudice and augment better understanding toward institutionalized alcoholics. This study which focused only on the institutionalized alcoholics, aimed to determine their personality and intellectual functioning and the appropriate program interventions for recovery. Each individual is a potential alcoholic although a single personality type that will become alcoholic cannot be identified. Institutionalized alcoholics have distinct personalities and intellectual capacities. As or their recovery, series of interventions are beneficial and worthwhile. Alcoholics should not be treated differently. Young people must be aware of the effects of alcohol consumption. It is also suggested that a similar study be conducted with females as respondents. The results of this study should also be validated.
