The respondents came from Philippine Association for the Gifted. They were purposely selected and were composed of gifted children with the age range of 3 to 11 years old. Methodology A descriptive case study was used to investigate and understand the influence and implication of family dynamics to the gifted children in terms of socio-emotional adjustment. The researchers used the self-made, open-ended questionnaires and adoptive survey to determine their socioemotional adjustment, parenting style, practices and support. Major Findings 1. It was revealed that parents are the most influential factor to the gifted children. 2. It was found out that most of the respondents’ special skills and abilities are inferior. 3. It was revealed that the respondents are not socio-emotionally adjusted. 9 4. It was also found out that family dynamics affects the gifted children’s socio-emotional adjustment. Conclusions 1. Demographic profile has a great influence towards giftedness of children. 2. Parents are the most influential factor in the socio-emotional adjustment of gifted children. 3. It was concluded that family dynamics does not affect the gifted children’s socio-emotional adjustment. Recommendations 1. To the parents, they should continue to raise their children properly by providing enough support and encouragement they need. Always take into consideration that every action they are going to do might have big implication for their children’s case. And, nurture their children by developing strong bond with them. 2. To the peers, do not expect too much from them. They are not superhuman, they can still commit mistakes. 3. To the respondents, just continue exploring their God-given talents and be mature enough to many things. 10 4. To the parents of gifted children, always remember that gifted children can still commit mistakes. Everything does not always have to be perfect. Let them know that parents may at times have doubts, and they sometimes fail too but use failures and mistakes as learning experiences to survive and succeed again. Likewise, Help gifted children understand and accept the true nature of their differences. 5. To the future researchers, have further studies on implications for socio-emotional adjustment of gifted children by using other determinants or factors of giftedness to their socio-emotional adjustment, and provide more respondents that would support the study.
