Abstract
Abstract The demographic profile of the participants and their experiences in producing a specific gender of their child in terms of stress factors, level of enjoyment and willingness to re-try the techniques are the two major questions this study intended to answer. Purposive Sampling was used in selecting the participants. The researchers limited the participants to six couples and only two positions were considered as part of child gender determination, that of missionary position and the rear entry aka “doggie style” position as recommended by Dr. Shettles. These two positions were the ones mentioned to be the right positions that can produce male and female offsprings. The paper is qualitative in nature and an exploratory research, a descriptive survey was used in gathering all the needed information. The method is Katutubong Pamamaraan ng Pananaliksik: Pakapakapa at Patanung-tanong. The study revealed that stress seriously affects the enjoyment of some couples. The dominant signs of stress experienced by the participants were feelings of fatigue, irritability and body aches. There were couples who failed to produce the desired gender of their child. After the try out, they are still willing to give a “try again” for their next child.
