Abstract
ABSTRACT The aim of the study is to determine if there is a significant relationship between Job Performance and Personality Traits. There were ninety-eight Secondary Public School Teachers in Dasmariñas who participated in this study. The Personality traits were determined using the 16 Personality Factor Questionnaire and Teacher Job Performance were determined using the Competency-Based Performance Appraisal System for Teacher (CB-PAST). The stratified sampling technique was used to get the sample size used in this present research. It was found out that, it is Emotional Stability that has a positive relationship to job performance. The relationship only means that the more a teacher becomes emotionally stable the better the job performance will be. On the other hand, Apprehension is negatively correlated to job performance which was based from the result of this research manifested that, as teachers becomes self-assured, unworried and complacent would likely to exhibit better performance. In addition to that, when a teacher is apprehensive, self-doubting and worried the teacher tends to have poor performance. Between Emotional Stability and Apprehension, apprehension has the strongest relationship to job performance.
