Abstract

Brain Blast is an online educational game that will test the mental abilities of the users. The users will be required to register online, wherein they were screened for their age, name and email address. The users will experience a new dimension in gaming. Not only will they enjoy playing Brain Blast, they will also be learning about a specific subject or topic in the process. The game is composed of logic, math, concentration, memory and language quizzes. This game will challenge them to draw on all their mental abilities to arrive at the best solution and thus score more. The game must not only stimulate and challenge the user; it must also make brain training fun and motivating. The system also included a database that consists of the names of users/players, their respective high scores, statistics, history and profile, their login history, and other relevant information using software specifically developed for this purpose. In developing Brain Blast, the proponents used Flash Player 8, Visual Studio 2008 and Photoshop CS4. The proponents are familiar with these development tools, hence; programming was not as difficult as with other tools and languages.
