Abstract
City Mattress is one of the best furniture and mattress dealers in the country, since the internet and modern technology make a powerful combination in making a business enterprise successful, an online sales and inventory system is being proposed to City Mattress Dasmariñas Branch to gain an advantage over its competitors. The proposed system is a web-based system that handles all sales and inventory processes of the company as well as the various product lines in different branches in Alabang, Ermita, and two other branches in Makati. The proponents intend to provide City Mattress more serviceability and satisfaction to their customers and as they meet their maintenance requirements. Transactions regarding the company sales include the creation of sales order, payment of the customers and delivery of products. The inventory focuses on the products in stock. The database approach will be utilized in the proposed system. After studying the problems encountered by the company, the proponents came up with an Online Sales and Inventory System that could help the establishment of a system that uses databases for system back-up and for easy access of files to make the selling and inventory process easier and faster than the manual system. The system could also generate reports such as daily, weekly, monthly and yearly sales report and inventory reports. The system was developed using V-Model methodology. The proponents used SLQ server for their database and PHP web programming language for coding the system.
