Abstract

This research is entitled “Network-Based Payroll System for De La Salle Dr. Rodolfo Poblete Memorial Hospital with Biometrics Technology”. This hospital has 108 employees. 79 are regular, 20 are probationary and 9 are contractual. The “no work no pay” policy are only implemented to the contractual and probationary. Regular employees only get the benefits of having a paid rest day and leave period. The proposed system contains features that could help payroll processing and report generation. The use of biometric device which is a fingerprint scanner ensures the high level of security for various data necessary in the payroll process. . It includes the features that can Add Employees record, Edit Employees information, Delete Employees record, print / save the Pay Slip of each employee and Updating Employees information. Another feature of the proposed system is the SQL database as the storage of the files and data necessary for the system. Network – Based System is used to develop a software that links the system to different system users through evaluation, computation and report generation. The system set involves at least two working computer where the computer is installed with typical speed that can handle several applications, a system administrator who handles database management and processing data or records and the biometric machine or fingerprint scanner that detects and records employees credential, and the employees as end users and beneficiaries of the payroll output. The proposed system will help the company become more competitive than before.
