Abstract

The Computer-Aided Instruction in Elementary Statistics was developed to teach the basic concepts of Statistics. Like any other CAI systems, CAIES could be a helpful tool for students in understanding the fundamental ideas on the aforementioned. The „CAIES‟ was developed based on Prototyping Model as a research paradigm and used different conceptual process such as Database Management System and PHP as the main programing language for the development of the system. Computer-Aided Instruction in Elementary Statistics (CAIES), which include drills, practices, and communication between students and teachers, could be accessed online and is exclusively for 2nd year Computer Science students of De La Salle University - Dasmariñas. In terms of motivation, results from the CAIES evaluations and assessments showed that the target students were highly motivated in learning Statistics.
