Abstract

The main objective of this study is to develop an android game that will provide entertainment and good game play experience for android users or non-android users, gamers or non-gamers. The game must not only entertain but also promote logic and strategy for the user. The proponents believe that this objective was attained because the game was evaluated, tested and given a passing grade by the respondents. Castle Invasion was designed and developed with information gathered from literature, as well as the meticulous study of the used platform and other materials for the success of the development. The game is a projectile-shooting game. The story mode can be found on the main page. The mechanics of the game is quite simple. The game will has ten stages of difficulty. Every time the player advances to the next stage, the game gets harder. The difficulty by each stage increases through the opponent’s lives and firepower ability, as both lives and firepower of opponents increase when the player goes through each level. Every time the player encounters a new challenge per level, this helps the player to develop his strategic skills upon thinking the right game plan but still he enjoys. 6.2 Recommendation With the rapid development of technologies, the proponents of the study, as well as the future researchers, should consider the use of software tools and aids that are specific to mobile game design and development. It will speed up the process of development as well as improve the overall features of the game. As for Castle Invasion, with the modern technology today and with the use of the userfriendly instructions and tutorials using different kinds of platforms which can be adopted easily in the game development field, non-professionals, students, hobbyist or even fun-seekers must develop a game. Further, the increasing popularity of smart mobile phones (one of the most popular operating systems for these is Android) is interesting to many people who plan to make and develop their own game; Java Eclipse is one of the most recommended platforms to use.
