Abstract

To know the association of moral reasoning of children to age and school economic status. The research study focused on the association of moral resoning with age and socioeconomic status among kinder (5 years old) and grade III (9 years old) students of Zapote Elementary School, a public school and Mary Help of Christian Montessori, a private school. The study revealed that (a) there is significant difference in moral reasoning between the five-year old and nine-year old respondents. Which indicates that the age has an association with the moral reasoning of children (b) There is no significant difference in moral reasoning between the respondents from private and public school, which only means that school economic status does not have an effect on child's moral reasoning.
