Abstract

This practicum study is about minimizing the 34.12% reject rate in the production of Barong in Onesimus Corporation for the Month of June to November 2013. The factors that caused the reject in the production have been identified and planned an action for each of them. These factors are the negligence of the worker, due to operator’s lack of technique proficiency and the piece rate system policy of the company. Corrective maintenance of the sewing machine, in the production sewing machines has already exceeded its expected life span. Defective fabric use in the production, due to the materials delivered by the supplier. The objective of this study is to minimize the reject rate caused by man, which is to implement an incentive/penalty policy, Implement a preventive maintenance program, lastly Review contract with the supplier.
