Abstract

This study primarily seeks to determine whether the variables of confidence of the subordinate in the supervisor and the two specific elements of leadership, namely structure and consideration, has any relationship with the job involvement of the subordinates. Leadership elements used in this study were obtained from the Ohio leadership studies which specified two elements, namely structure, and consideration. The study involved two organizations. The organizations were given two types of questionnaires to chosen members in the organization. The first type of questionnaire was for supervisors in which would determine the extent to which they possess the two leadership elements specified by the ohio leadership studies. The second type of questionnaire was for the subordinates under the supervisions, this test determines the confidence and trust that they have for their supervisor, and also their job involvement.
