Abstract

This research was carried out to measure the level of anxiety among selected female high school students in public and private schools in Dasmariñas City, and aimed to test the hypothesis if there is a significant difference as to their anxiety level. The researchers have gathered 240 respondents across the year level with age ranging from 11-18 years old using cluster sampling. Descriptive research design using survey comparative method was employed. Using the Screen for Child Anxiety Related Emotional Disorder (SCARED), data revealed that there is no significant difference in the anxiety level among the four sets of respondents but discriminate in terms of the type or nature of anxiety. Recommendations for school wide interventions with the support of teachers and guidance counselors were forewarded.
