Abstract

Abstract The Perceived Acceptance of Male Bisexuals in Homosexual and Heterosexual Communities is a descriptive study made on 9 participants from different locations inside Metro Manila. In the selection of participants, anyone willing to participate in the study regardless of age, religion, profession, and economic status were included as participants. It is limited to all single, Filipino citizens. The researchers’ focus is delimited to perceptions on bisexuality, their feelings of discrimination and belonging preference, i.e., whether for the heterosexual or homosexual community. Data are based on what the participants are ready to share, considering respect for confidential matters. Literature on bisexuality is also limited, this being an unexplored issue to this time. Perceptions of the participants on the acceptance fall under the two communities which was the homosexual community and the heterosexual community. Interview results show that there is a large percentage that they are accepted in the Heterosexual Community and a small percentage that they want to be in the Homosexual Community. The reactions of the participants show as the basis to the study.
