Abstract

To find out the comparative analysis on the level of intelligence and emotional stability of introverts and extroverts among AB Psychology students of DLSU-D, second semester, SY 2006-2007 SCOPE AND DELIMITATION: This research study is confined to the correlational analysis between introversion and extroversion on the level of intelligence and emotional stability among the 3rd year Psychology students of DLSU-Dasmarinas, second semester, S.Y. 20060207. The respondents were determined by purposive sample. The study is limited to 3rd Year Psychology students of De La Salle University-Dasmarinas. METHODOLOGY: This study used quasi-experimental ex-post facto design. Respondents are selected purposively from a total sample of 134 3rd Year AB Psychology students at De La Salle University-Dasmarinas enrolled in the second semester school year 2006-2007, age 18-27 number of male and female (all third year) considering their age, year level and section, gender and religion. The researchers followed an established procedure in finding out the comparative analysis between introverts and extroverts. FINDINGS: This study sought to determine the level of intelligence and emotional stability between introverts and extroverts among 3rd year psychology students of De La Salle University-Dasmarinas for 2nd semester S.Y. 2006-2007. The students were asked to take the 16 Personality Factors test to determine their personality type and emotional stability. the students also took the Culture Far Intelligence Test to measure their level of intelligence. CONCLUSION: A procedure of testing significance was done to determine the personality type, level of intelligence and emotional stability. Based on the statistical treatment, it is determined that there is no significant difference on the level of intelligence and emotional stability of introvert and extrovert group. RECOMMENDATION; Researchers who wish to conduct the same study must use another standardized test and have different respondents according to their age, educational background, and socio economic status. Another study should be conducted to show the relationship of emotional stability and intelligence and intelligence of two personality types. The researchers also commend to implement programs and activities that will enchance the potentials of the introverts and extroverts.
