Abstract

ABSTRACT Human s are bound ed with moral values that root from punishin g children by spanking, hitting, and slapping wh enever they misbehave. Still, domestic v iolence is less understood and numerous issues arise. Thus, this research determined the correlation between aggression and domestic violence among 61 high school students consist ing of 33 males and 28 females. Previous studies suggest ed exploring the factors of aggression that can be linked to domestic violence; thus , the current study sought to further know wheth er the children’s exposure to domestic v iolence can be accounted to their aggre ssive behavior. The study used quantitative research design to correlate the aggression towards domestic violence and used Pearson’s r which resulted (r=0.09831) . Common knowledge about domestic violence is being linked to physical aggression ; h owever , according to the data gathered, hostility had the highest mean score and prominent to children among the five (5) factors of the aggression and prominent to children. Several western studies prove the association of aggression and domestic violence ; however, the current research was able to confirm that there is a weak relationship between the two among Filipinos. Filipinos are open - minded and resilient in nature that can also be one foundation for responding positively towards bad experiences. Ke ywords: Aggression, Domestic Violence, Exposure
