Abstract

This study used the descriptive method which aimed to develop the concept of overprotective parents and find out if it has my relation to maladaptive behavior. The respondents used in the study were confined to third and fourth year psychology and political science students who openly declared that they had overprotective parents. This study made use of normative form of gathering data through the use of questionnaire which was administered to the respondents, to obtain the necessary views, ideas and comments in a variable form, so that it could be deeply evaluated and analyzed by the researchers using the percentile statistical treatment.
