GENERAL The purpose of this study is to determine the level of life satisfaction and self-worth across adult life span from young adults, middle adults and late adulthood and to find out if there is a significant differences between the level of life satisfaction and self-worth or self-esteem across adult life span. B. SPECIFIC Specifically the study sought to answer the following questions: 1. What is the level of Life Satisfaction of young adulthood, middle adulthood, and late adulthood? 2. What is the level of Self-Esteem of the young adulthood, middle adulthood, and late adulthood? De La Salle University – Dasmariñas 3. Is there a significant difference between the level of life satisfaction across Adult Life Span in Dasmarinas Cavite? 4. Is there is significant difference between the level of self-worth across Adult Life Span in Dasmariñas Cavite? METHODOLOGY The respondents of the study were 50 young adults ages 19 to 40 years old, 50 middle adults ages 40 to 65 years old and 50 late adulthood with the range of ages 65 and above with the total of 150 respondents. The study used quantitative research method. The research instrument that was used in this study was self-made test to measure the level of life satisfaction and Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale for measuring Self-worth; hence, it was validated. MAJOR FINDINGS The following findings were drawn from the study: 1. With the overall 50 young adult participants for this study 6% of them or 3 got a low level of life satisfaction while the 21 or 42% got an average level of life satisfaction and the remaining participants or 52% got a high level of life satisfaction. 4 out 50 middle adulthood got a low level of life satisfaction while the 13 got an average level of life satisfaction and the remaining 33 participants got a high level of life satisfaction. And this study revealed that the majority of late adulthood with the 80% out of 100% got a high level of life satisfaction and the 16% of it got an average level and the remaining 4% got a low level of life satisfaction. De La Salle University – Dasmariñas 2. For the level of self-worth of the young adults, 20% got a low level of self-esteem and the remaining 80% got an average level, no one among young adults got a high level of self-esteem. Generally larger amount of middle adulthood got an average level of self-esteem with a 94% or 47 participants out of 50 and the remaining 3 or 6% got a low level of self-esteem. And it shows that most of the middle adults are on the average level, no one among participants got a high level of self-esteem. From the data that the researchers gathered 8 of the late adulthood or 16% got low self-esteem while 84% or 42 of the late adulthood got an average level of self-esteem and 0 out of 50 respondents got a high level of self-esteem. 3. These findings revealed that, the level of life satisfaction had a significant difference across life span. The null hypothesis was rejected. Among the adult life span the late adulthood got a high percentage of high level of life satisfaction than the other participants and it shows that the other adult life span are not yet satisfied with their lives and only few who are satisfied. 4. There is no significant difference with the level of self-esteem with the adult life span. the majority of the young, middle and late adulthood were on the average level of self-esteem or worth, only small number of participants across the adult life span got a low level but no one of the participants got a high level of selfesteem.
